There is a classic saying that I couldn’t agree with more.

“Abs are made in the kitchen”
Unfortunately most people think they can just do a ton of situps and their abs will start to pop out. Everyone has a six pack, it is just covered by fat for most. Nutrition is the single most important aspect when it comes to weight loss. Obviously exercise helps a ton and it helps you retain/build muscle while you are losing weight. But if your diet is a mess, you will not lose weight.

Let’s say we did an intense workout and burned 500 calories. Afterwards you slammed down a milkshake that has 650 calories in it. Well… there goes all that hard work in an instant! Over the years the biggest issue I have had with clients is their diets. People have no problem doing an hour workout a couple days a week but your diet is 24/7. It’s hard to diet, even for me!

That’s why it’s awesome to have someone to keep you accountable and steer you in the right direction. I have tried countless diets, I know what works and what doesn’t. I also know that you have to live life. Go ahead and eat that pizza, eat a doughnut, live life. However, there is a way to do it while keeping most of your diet healthy. It’s all about moderation.

Most people fail with diets because they go way too strict. They limit their calories a ton. They lose a lot of weight and then once they are off their diet BOOM it’s all back on. Your diet should be more of a lifestyle change. Keeping the majority of your foods clean and still indulging in the yummy stuff.

I have some great ways to go about that and will help set you on the right track for the rest of your life.
